Billy Mac Pate Plant City Florida Billy Mac Pate age 82 of Plant City, FL. passed away on February 25, 2014, Born into a pioneer family in the Tuscaloosa County Community of Buhl on January 13, 1932, he was the son of the late Sally Dee Johnson Pate and William McKinley Pate. He played baseball and earned bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Alabama. He spent his professional career as a Teacher, Baseball Coach, Administrator and Principal in the Hillsborough County (FL) Public Schools. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Sista" Morris Pate (formerly of Eutaw,AL.), two sons Morris Pate (Cathy) of Lithia,FL and Michael Pate (Jennifer) of Safety Harbor, FL. and a daughter, Sarah Dee Harbin (Johnny) of Buhl, AL. Also surviving are grandchildren, Maggie Pate of Lithia,FL., Emily and Abigail Pate of Safety Harbor, FL. and Mathew, Ellen Marie and John Dairell Harbin of Buhl, AL. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday March 8, 2014 at 2:00pm at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw, AL. All friends and family are invited to attend. Roll Tide.
