Billy J. Howell TUSCALOOSA Billy J. Howell, age 80, of Tuscaloosa, died November 14, 2013. Services will be 4 p.m. today, November 15, 2013, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Paul Peoples officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse (Bud) Howell and Maude G. Howell; and daughters, Jackie McCollum and Vicki Bedwell. Survivors include his wife, Mary Joyce Howell; sons, Billy R. Howell (Regina) and Jon P. Howell (Cyndy); sisters, Lois Gallaway and Maudean Latham; brothers, Duke Howell, Rozelle Howell, and Donald Howell; and grandchildren, Charli Ann Pearce (Brandon), Amy Paul (Scott), Hanna Tinker (Zac), Jesse Howell, and Joshua Howell (finacee Carleigh Watson); and great-grandchild, Emily Marie Paul. Billy J. Howell was born to a family of 11 brothers and sisters. Billy was married to his loving wife Mary Joyce for 62 years and was the father of two sons, two daughters, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He retired from the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. Our father went on to retire from B.F. Goodrich. He worked with the State of Alabama until he was 73 years old. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
