Billy Hicks

Billy Ray Hicks, age 58, of Northport, Alabama passed away on October 7, 2022. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Magnolia Chapel North. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel North directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raiford and Kathryn (Davidson) Hicks; brother, Barry Hicks; and sister, Ranette Robertson.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Hicks Frye (Ken); son, Christopher Ray Hicks (Chelsy); sister, Denise Kizziah (Zane); grandchildren, Drew Frye and Makenna Frye; and nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a part of MOMAG -Mobile Mine Assembly Group. He achieved the rank of E-4.

He was a proud business owner and published author. He knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

He loved to ride motorcycles, was an avid reader and storyteller. He loved Alabama football and his family.

Pallbearers will be Tony Terry, Daryl Lee, Ryan Phillips, Roger Beck, Ken Frye, Mark Davidson, Zane Kizziah, and Ross Kizziah.
