Billy Gene Hallman NORTHPORT Billy Gene Hallman, age 77, of Northport, died May 17, 2012, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Chapel Church with Bro. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Davis Hallman; his daughter, Wanda Jean Hallman; his grandson, Hunter Davis Watson; his great-grandchild, Savannah Grace Elmore; his parents, Willie and Claude Hallman; his sisters, Lillie Mae Hallman and Dorothy Stafford (Charles); and his brothers, Andy Hallman (Marge) and Burie Hallman. Survivors include his daughters, Patsy Elmore Smith (Glenn) of Northport and Joyce Watson (Randy) of Northport; his sisters, Mildred Capps and Betty Aycox; his grandchildren, Sandi Boler (Bobby), Oscar Elmore (Melissa), and Carleigh Watson; and his great-grandchildren, Brenden Boler, Brayley Boler, Haley Elmore, and Elijah Oscar Elmore. Billy served our country during the Korean War. He loved to fish and had many fishing and camping buddies in Pickensville. We are comforted to know he is at peace with many of his other family members waiting for him. Pallbearers will be Oscar Elmore, Elbert Elmore, Buddy O'Kelly, Carl Stripling, Bobby Boler, Charles Stafford, and Mark Krebs.
