Billie Smith

Billie "June"� Smith, age 73, of Coaling, Ala., passed away November 18, 2017 at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Douglas Tilley officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017, at Magnolia South. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Elizabeth Chadwell; husband, R.C. Smith; brothers, Clarence, Hubert, Arlie and Jerry Chadwell. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Dunlap (Craig); sons, Steven Smith (Cris), Paul Smith (Doris) and David Smith; sister, Judy Colburn (Tony); brothers: Gernie Chadwell (Kathleen), Clifford Chadwell (Virginia) and Larry Chadwell (Debbie); grandchildren, Jamie Paris (Todd), James "Bubba"� Hubbard, Amanda Parten (Heath), Kayla Skelton, John Paul, Logan, Justin, Tamara and Blake Smith. She also had seven great-grandchildren. June was born in White Oak, Tennessee on August 15, 1944 the daughter of a coal miner during World War II. She married and moved to Tuscaloosa, where she lived the rest of her life as a loving mother. She was a caring mother of four and was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind many good friends and family. June was very giving and would help anyone. The family would like to thank everyone that helped and cared for her during her extended illness. She is finally free to walk hand in hand with her savior and loved ones who went before her. She will be missed tremendously. Pallbearers will be Jeff Crawford, James Hubbard, Todd Paris, Heath Parten, Chuck Reed and Matt Snipes. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne and Linda Boyd, the late Gloria Green, Missy Griffin, Dinah Harris, Kenneth Ledbetter, Linda Oglesby, William "Roe"�, Doris Smith and Daryl Wise.
