Billie Haynie Rowland NORTHPORT | Billie Haynie Rowland, age 72, of Northport, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014, at Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist with Tim Baumgarten officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Sue Haynie. Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Rowland Lee (Chuck); son, Ronald Barry Rowland (Linda); sisters, Marilyn Graham, Shirley Hall, Bobbie Bebout, Betty Snow, Jackie Rice, and Cindy Walker; brother, David Haynie; grandchildren, Olivia Rowland, Lucas Rowland, Molly Rowland, Brandon Rowland, and four great-grandchildren. Billie was a graduate of Northside High School, class of 1960. She retired from Speedy Oil Change and Tuscaloosa Vending as an office manager in 2012. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, going on cruises, and most of all shopping. She was one of eight siblings. She and her six sisters spent much time together laughing, clowning around and just loving each other. There was nothing greater than the love of her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. They were the joy in her life. She was a loving mom, Nana, and good friend to many and will be dearly missed. Pallbearers will be Lucas Rowland, Brandon Rowland, Chuck Lee, Shawn Walker, Brad Walker, and Jim Pfeiffer. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist building fund.
