Bibb Graves Watkins Sr. TUSCALOOSA Bibb Graves Watkins, Sr., age 79, of Tuscaloosa, died September 24, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. Tim Barnes and Rev. Mike Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Pearl Thomas Watkins; father, William Curtis Watkins; son, William Geoffrey Watkins; and brothers, William, James, and Edwin Watkins. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Watkins; daughter-in-law, Julie Watkins; sons, Graves Watkins (Terri) and Guy Watkins (Tammy); sister, Pete Walker; grandchildren, Riley, Trace, Kylie, Kiera, Taylor, and Blake Watkins; and great-grandchild, Harper. Bibb was born and raised in Tuscaloosa County and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1953. He was sales manager for Bama Concrete for 25 years and a member of Northport First United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Chris Davis, Tyler Davis, Butch Thomas, Ray Pruitt, Ryan Shirley, Rocky McClusky, Lance Rushing and Shane Rushing. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Bama Concrete, employees of S.T. Bunn Construction, employees of Watkins Construction, employees of Shirley Concrete, Joe and Jimmie Hayes, Charles and Karen Melson, Linda Smelley, Ronald and Barbara Davis, Larry and Pat Rushing, Randy and Sherry Rushing, LaDew and Shirley Hall, The Bridge Group, Terry and Kay Bunn, S.T. Bunn, Jr., Kay and Wendall Shirley, Johnny and Linda Shirley, Hillary Shirley, Ann McClusky, Griff Stanley, Mike and Linda Griffin, Buddy Andoe, Sonny and Donna Aaron, Grady and Jane Friday, Kay Williams, Beth and Andy Simon, Jay Parker, and John and Rebecca Harper. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Northport First United Methodist Church.
