Betty Wampler

Mrs. Betty I. Wampler, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away July 11, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Magnolia North with Ken Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery, Bloomington, Ind. on July 24, 2018 with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Hattie Johnson; husband, Clifford Wampler; daughter, Carole L. Minett; brother, Robert Johnson; and sister, Mildred Johnson.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kelly R. Marino (Louis D. Marino, III); great-granddaughter, McKenna Grace Marino; and son-in-law, Charles R. Minett.
Mrs. Wampler was born in Bloomington, Indiana. She retired from RCA after 35 years and moved to Tuscaloosa, Ala. in 2002. She was an active member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church where she was a greeter for many years. She loved to travel, play canasta with her ladies at Focus, watch all sports, especially NASCAR races and loved the Lord.
