Betty Spencer

Betty Joyce Lutes Spencer of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed from this life Sept 4, 2018 to be reunited with her husband Dr. Charles McClain Spencer.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlain Spencer Fondren (Marty) and Gay Spencer Davis (Christopher); three grandchildren Kyle Fondren (Amy), Alaina Fondren (and fiancé Ricky Doverspike) and Carla Davis Richards (Coleman) and two great granddaughters Sibyl and Charlotte Fondren.

She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law David "Buddy" and Ruth Lutes and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathleen and Earl Sheppard.

Nieces Joy Sheppard Asbury and Libby Sheppard Williams, Angie Lutes Baldwin, and Denise Lutes Jones and nephew Franklin Lutes.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery on Thursday, September 6, 2018 with Rev. Rick Mitchell officiating and Magnolia South directing.

Pallbearers are Marty Fondren, Christopher Davis, Kyle Fondren, Coleman Richards, Ricky Doverspike and Franklin Lutes.

Honorary pallbearers are DCH Health System volunteers and employees of Northport Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of West Alabama or the DCH Foundation.
