Betty J. Robertson HOLMAN - Betty J. Robertson, age 84, of Holman, died June 27, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at Corinth Baptist Church with Brother Ben Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be today, June 30, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Early and Elizabeth Norris; husband, Junior C. Robertson; grandsons, Calvin Robertson and Marty Beck; and sister, Roberta Robertson Weaver. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Beck (Jimmy); son, Travis Robertson (Blanche); sister, Earline Pate (Robert); sisters-in-law, Christine McGee and Virginia Robertson; brother, Roy Norris (Annette); granddaughter, Gina Beck Mize (Jason); and extended family, Audra Griffin (Johnny) and family. Betty Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and hard worker. She was well-known in her community for tending to others needs, gardening, cooking and flashing her famous smile. Betty Jean recently said "people just need to get ready for Jesus's return". She will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be Tim Robertson, Rex Robertson, Kent Robertson, Mike Pate, Darren McGee and Danny Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Guin and Jeanette Smith, Stephen and Lisa Smith (Jacob and Lily), Tommy and Dawn Boothe (Jeremy), Lee and Betty Hancock, Smith Wilburn, Holman Church family, Corinth Baptist Church, friends and neighbors of Holman and Elrod communities and all healthcare providers.
