Betty Sue Lindsey NORTHPORT - Betty Sue Lindsey, age 85, of Northport, Ala., died April 9, 20117, at Heritage Health Care Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church with Ron Philpot officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Lindsey; parents, Robert and Amy Thomas; brothers, Charlie, William, James Olen ""Buddy"", Clarence and John Ed, Grover and James Edward Thomas; and son, Jimmy Oswalt. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Lee (Mike) of Northport and Jane Freeman of Northport; son, Clayton Lindsey (Ines) of Woodbury, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Sandy Oswalt; grandchildren, Amy Philpot (Ron), Jamie Oswalt (Lauren), Christi Watson (Tony), Carrie Freeman and Marie Lee; and great-grandchildren, Lucas, Logan and Larson Oswalt and Jarret and Carleigh Watson. A longtime resident of the Moores Bridge Community, she was a loving wife, mother and Maw Maw with a generous heart. Some of her greatest joys were gardening and cooking holiday and Sunday dinners for her family. She will be greatly missed by many. Pallbearers are Jamie, Lucas and Logan Oswalt, Tony and Jarret Watson, Butch Thomas and Johnny ""Bubba"" Ryan. Honorary pallbearers are Joe and Shirley Thomas, Faye Sullivan and Jack and Agnes Sullivan. The family would like to give a special thanks to Heritage Healthcare and Hospice of West Alabama.
