Betty Fondren

Betty Jean Livingston Fondren, age 83, of Greensboro, Alabama, passed away on October 18, 2017 at Colonial Haven Nursing Home. She was born on December 2, 1933, in Kennedy, Alabama. She enjoyed attending church singings and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Spring Hill Church with visitation one hour prior. Magnolia Chapel South Funeral Home will direct. Sister Baughtman and Brother Connell will officiate. Betty Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Livingston and Mattie Aldridge Livingston; husband, William Fondren; brother, Landon Livingston; and sisters, Doris Shaw and Polly Davidson. Survivors include her son, William Wallace Fondren ( Shelia ); daughters, Diane Fondren Averette ( Randy ) and Loretta Fondren Stewart ( Lee ); grandchildren, Wayne Fondren ( Jessica ), Justin Fondren ( Amber ), Trent Fondren, Tyler Stewart, LeAnn Stewart, Lee Averette, and Daniel Averette ( Hannah ); and four great grandchildren, all of Greensboro. Pallbearers include Wayne Fondren, Justin Fondren, Trent Fondren, Tyler Stewart, Darrell Fondren, and Glenn Fondren. Honorary Pallbearers are LeAnn Stewart and Lake Payne Church of God.
