Betty Bannerman

Betty J. Bannerman, age 75, died September 15, 2016, at her residence. Services will be 2 p.m. today, September 17, 2016, with Bro. Earl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John Bannerman Sr. Survivors include her sons, David, Roy, Troy and Johnny Bannerman. She was born August 7, 1941, to the late Doc and Mildred Reed. She worked hard at whatever she did, a value she taught to her four sons. She passed away peacefully at home after many years of strokes and poor health. Many times even the doctors did not think she would make it, but the Lord had other plans. Through all of this, she had two of the most wonderful caregivers, "Dabo"� and later, "Dino"� who went above and beyond what they had to. A special thank you goes out to them. She was one of a kind and will be remembered for years. Pallbearers will be David, Roy, Troy, and Earl Bannerman, Ricky Wallace, and Ronnie Winters. Honorary pallbearers are "Dabo"�, "Dino"�, Dr. Steven Brown, and members of Mt. Zion FreeWill Baptist Church.
