Barbara "Janet"� Holemon NORTHPORT - Barbara "Janet"� Holemon, age 72, of Northport, Alabama, died November 7, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Dan Kilgore of FUMCT and Pastor Andrew Eldridge Troy UPC officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be today, November 10, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Pat and Bill Romage. Survivors include her husband, Mack Len Holemon of Northport, Ala.; daughters, Angela J. Rogers (Shane) and Allison H. Arendale (Todd); sons, Andrew Eldridge (Sandra), Daniel Eldridge (Denise) and Jeff Holemon (Hope); sister, Faye Dykes (Kenneth - Tut); sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Janet, a loving wife, mother and "Gran Gran,"� passed away surrounded by her devoted family at DCH Regional Medical Center at the age of 72. Janet was born November 30, 1943 in Meridian, Mississippi. After years as a stay at home Mom, she returned to school at Shelton State Community College to specialize in information systems and technology. From there she went on to a fruitful 25 year career at DCH Regional Medical Center where she retired in 2011. She taught us all a mother"�s unconditional love as her friends and family were her greatest treasure. She met her husband, Mack Holemon, in February of 1976 which was the beginning of her "Happily Forever After."� Pallbearers will be Kyle Eldridge, Hunter Hocutt, Scotty Rogers, Shane Rogers, Todd Arendale and Jerry Garrison. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Scott Fulgham and Tuskaloosa Internal Medicine, Dr. Ariel Anguiano, Jr., Dr. Matthew Thom, Susan Windham, CRNP, DCH - MICU and DCH Regional Medical Center I/S Department employees and retirees.
