Arvel Gene Mounce NORTHPORT Arvel Gene Mounce, age 74, of Northport, died Jan. 6, 2013, at St. Vincent's Hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Sulphur Springs Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Lola Mounce; his daughter, Diana Gilkey; his grandson, Tristan Mounce; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Mounce; his daughter, Novella Cornett; his sons, William Mounce (Ashley), Garth Mounce, and Travis Mounce (Katrina); his sisters, Carolyn Johnson (Bob) and Kathy Evans; his grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, and Kaden Mounce, Donna Jarvis, Cassidy Arnold, and Mackenzie Cornett; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron and Colton Brummet and Quinton Jarvis. Pallbearers will be David McCarter, Rusty Ward, Jordan Langley, James Lee Mounce, Larry Mounce, Mark Mounce, Wayne Mounce, Marshall Mounce, Duane Logan, and R.J. Logan.
