Arthur McKinley Boothe NORTHPORT Arthur McKinley Boothe, age 70, of Northport, died November 25, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Arbor Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Sessoms and Dr. Gene Livingston officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his father, Archie McKinley Boothe; and mother, Iona Jacob Boothe; grandmother, Buna Boothe; and grandfather, Lawrence Boothe. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Emma Jewell Boothe of Northport; daughter, Bethany Joy Boothe; sons, Kevin McKinley Boothe (Melanie) and Arthur Kerry Boothe (Patsy); sister, Betty Sue Beard (Jimmy); brothers, Tommy Boothe (Jo Anne) and Gary Wayne Boothe; grandchildren, Brittany Boothe, Kassi Boothe Trawick (Matt), Dylan Boothe (Kayla), and Chase Boothe; and great-grandchildren, Payton Church, Emma Watkins, and Ellie Mae Farley. Arthur attended Tuscaloosa County High School, worked as a mechanic for 51 years, and owned Foreign Car Repair. He loved his family, Alabama football, and fishing. He spent his last two years of his life loving his Lord and Savior and cherishing his church family. Pallbearers will be Chase Boothe, Dylan Boothe, Matt Trawick, Randy Brown, Richard Payne, Larry Leonard, Justin Koester, and Lynn Watkins. Honorary pallbearers are Sutton Plumbing, Roger Downs, Advance Auto Parts, Terry Avery, Mike Meadows, Dr. Brian Wilhite, employees of Cancer Care Center, employees of Northport Health, Alan Nelson, Arbor Springs Baptist Church family and friends, and Dr. Todorov. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Arbor Springs Baptist Church Building Fund or Madison Arnold's Fund at Arbor Spring Baptist Church.
