TUSCALOOSA - Marie Burroughs Thomas, age 97, of Tuscaloosa, died October 7, 2018, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at New Hope Baptist Church in Romulus. Graveside service will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester E. Thomas; son, Gary E. Thomas; and parents, Clifton and Clara Burroughs.

Survivors include her son, Ron Thomas (Ann); daughter-in-law, Lynda Thomas; grandchildren, Michael Thomas (Stephanie), Stephen Thomas (Michelle), Katherine Birch (Derek) and Jack Thomas (Meg); and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Yessick, Michael Thomas, Fred Sealey, Tom Maness, Clifton Yessick, Jon Eiland, Ryan Alexander, Stephen Thomas, Jack Thomas, and Bryant Bagley.
