Annie L Hughes Keith left this world on January 31, 2020, at Lake Martin Community Hospital, Dadeville, AL.Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. Gary Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, LeFloy and Liddie L Hughes; A son, Dennis Cunningham, a brother Lee M Hughes, a sister Hazel Sansing and a grandson, Tim Harrington.

Survivors include her daughters, Denise Harrington (Larry) of Opelika, AL. Gina Ward (Bobby) of LaQuey, MO. and Lynn Broome of Dadeville, AL. Three step children, Faron Keith (Sandy) Debra Petiprin, and Pam Killian. A sister, Paulette H Kornegay (Larry) of Brookwood, AL. Eleven grandchildren, Six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

A special heartfelt thanks to the doctors nurses and staff at Lake Martin Community Hospital, Dadeville Nursing and Rehab, and Ivy Creek Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Springhill Baptist Cemetery Fund or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.

Ann loved people, and she was given the special gift of care giving, a very good one. She did not just sit with the sick, she cooked and kept their home as she did hers. Ann became a part of each family she worked for during her stay. Ann loved watching things grow, flowers in every corner of the porch and bird feeders hanging here and there. Cooking was her joy and keeping her place spotlessly clean was a must. Tomato gravy, chicken and dressing, “always use a hen”, and biscuits are just a few of her best dishes. Anyone ever knowing Ann would agree she was a loving and caring person, and they were glad to have called her friend
