Annie Deal Jones NORTHPORT | Annie Deal Jones, age 88, of Northport, died March 6, 2014. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Jones; parents, Perry and Reat Montgomery; and her brother, John B. Montgomery. Survivors include her sons, Terrell Jones (Judy) and Harold Jones (Susan); grandchildren, Adam Jones (Nicole), Paul Jones (Julie), Ginger Jones-Sillery (John), Jill Slaton (Casey); and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Sillery, Casey Slaton, Adam Jones, Paul Jones, Harry Montgomery and Larry Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of the Phillips Chapel community, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's office, Tuscaloosa Police Department, Heritage Health Nursing Home and staff, Betty Gray, Barbara Roberts, Peggy Bailey and Denise Turner. Mother was a kind and loving person always putting the needs of others before herself. She was a gifted singer and piano player active in her church and she was especially popular at church decorations and all day singings because of the meals she prepared, especially her homemade desserts. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
