Anita Kilgo Davidson, 77, passed away on January 25, 2025. She was born on September 16, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama, and throughout her life, she also called Fulton, Kentucky, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama, home.
Anita was the daughter of Wallace and Juanita Kilgo and the sister of Wallace "Sonny" Kilgo Jr., all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her three children, Doug Davidson (Suzanne), Cynthia Davidson, and Joel Davidson (Jennifer). She was a proud grandmother to Katie, Josh, Patrick, Kayce, Sydney, and Sophie, and a great-grandmother to three cherished great-grandchildren.
She worked for 24 years at O'Neal Steel in Birmingham, where she formed many lasting friendships. Anita loved Alabama football, cooking, tailgating, gardening, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She had a quick wit and a love for laughter, always joking with friends and bringing joy to those around her.
Anita's faith was an important part of her life. She treasured the time spent with her church families at First Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa and, in her later years, at Valley Community Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15, 2025, at 2 PM at Valley Community Church in Coker, AL. In honor of Anita's love for the Crimson Tide, guests are welcome to wear Alabama gear if they'd like.
Her kindness, humor, and love for family and friends will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
