Amy Andrews Wilson
MOUNDVILLE - Amy Andrews Wilson, age 49, of Moundville, Ala., passed away April 15, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Allen Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Moundville, Ala. with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Earl Andrews; and sister, Martha Andrews Holcomb.
Survivors include her husband, Todd Wilson; daughters, Chloe, Gracie and Ellie Ryan; son, Hunter; and brother, Mark Andrews (Amy).
Amy was born on March 3, 1969 in Berlin, Germany. She was the daughter of an Army Chaplain (COL) and pastor of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Ala. Amy was a speech pathologist for over 25 years for Baptist South and Jackson Hospitals in Montgomery, Ala., Prattville Speech & Hearing and DCH in Tuscaloosa and Northport. She was an incredible wife and mother and truly the sweetest, most kind-hearted person who has never met a stranger. Amy had a strength like no other and was always smiling no matter what. She has inspired so many and will be missed by all who loved her. Amy had two favorite quotes: "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." and "Living makes dying worth it." Amy loved unconditionally and without question, no matter who and no matter what.
Pallbearers will be Skip Connell, Glyn Day, Trey Cook, Jerry Holcomb, Keith McCrory, Mitch Stevens and Chase Cook.
Honorary pallbearers are Cancer Treatment Center of Newnan, Georgia, Dr. Ricardo Alvarez, Hospice of West Alabama, Moundville Youth Football and 9-10 year old Wildcats.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Amy's name can be made to Metavibor, 1783 Forest Drive #184, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
