Althine Fowler Spray Mrs. Althine Fowler Spray of Hwy 25 Greensboro went to be with her Lord and loved ones early Sunday May 25, 2014 at home with her faithful husband of 60 years, Robert, by her side. Born September 28, 1931 to George and Cora Simmons Fowler, Mrs. Spray was a native of Lincoln County Tennessee (Vann Town) and moved to Alabama when her husband took a job with the state of Alabama in 1964. She was a homemaker and will be remembered by many from her days helping out at Wyatt's store. She received Jesus as her savior early in life and was baptized into the Baptist denomination in a creek. She later in life attended Liberty Methodist church with her husband. She was loving and caring and was not given to speaking ill of others. Surviving spouse Robert E Spray, daughters Arlene Huffman Spell (David) of Greensboro, Darlene McDaniel (Mark) Northport and son Gary Spray, Silver Hill, Al. Her pride and joy were her 3 grandchildren, first born, grandson, Bric McDaniel (Nashville, Tn ,granddaughter Georgie McDaniel, Columbus,Ms, and youngest grandson Chalis Huffman, Northport, Al. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Carl, her parents, and sister, Zadie Caldwell, her son in law Douglas Huffman. The family wants to thank Home Health of Greensboro for her excellent care, the many friends and neighbors who would bring meals to help out during her four year illness and also Hale county sheriff department and coroner Howard Paige for their compassion and professional courtesy. Services were held on Tuesday May 27th with Magnolia Chapel south directing and dear family friend Brother Kenneth Wyatt officiating. In lieu of floral tributes, our mother would want you to remember the children at St Jude's children's research hospital in Memphis Tennessee.
