Alma Jean Hallmark TUSCALOOSA - Alma Jean Hallmark, born, March 14, 1930, died January 8, 2017. Jean went to be with the Lord after a long illness at her home. She was surrounded by a wonderful team of caregivers and family. Preceding her in death were her parents, Roscoe and Pearl Gladden and her husband of sixty years, James B. Hallmark. She is survived by her only child, Sue Hallmark Parsons, three grandchildren, Brad Parsons, Ashley Pike, and Lesley Newell, and seven great-grandchildren. For many years, she owned a beauty salon in Tuscaloosa while James worked at BF Goodrich Manufacturing. She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church in Northport. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, January 11th at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Chapel North followed by a service at 12 noon with Rev. Rock Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hospice of West Alabama or Macedonia UMC.
