Alice Geer

Alice Myrtle Burroughs Geer, age 89, born March 7, 1928 at home in Ralph, Alabama, died December 2, 2017, at home in Buhl, Alabama. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2017, at Pate Cemetery with Marshall Sutton officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, William O. Geer, Jr.; parents, Paschal and Allie Burroughs; one sister, Ruby Crawford and seven brothers, Nelson Burroughs, Aaron Burroughs, Edward Burroughs, Milton Burroughs, Jessie H. Burroughs, James Burroughs and Montgomery Burroughs. Survivors include her two sons, William M. Geer, Sr. (Drucilla) and Winfred T. Geer (Glenda); one brother, Olon Burroughs; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Alabama Hospice.
