Alan Larry Jones | MOUNDVILLE Alan Larry Jones, age 60, of Moundville, went to be with his Lord on Aug. 2, 2010. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Big Sandy Baptist Church with Tim Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Big Sandy Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie Vista Jones and Charles William Jones, Sr.; and his brothers, Hubert Jones and Charles Jones. Survivors include his wife, LaDonna Jones; his daughter, Alicia L. Jackson; his son, Alan L. Jones, II; his sisters, Barbara Ann Jones (Melvin), Mary Jones (Waverly), Nina Moore (Don), Sara Stephens (Mike), and Carolyn McCain (Tom); his brothers, Richard Jones (Patti) and Donald Jones (Marian); and his grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, Parker Jackson, Christopher Jones, Nathan Jones, and Samantha Jones. Pallbearers will be David Mills, Jimmy Dunn, Bert Jones, Mike Jones, Ken Canterbury, and Keith Davis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Sandy Baptist Church Building Fund.
