A. Virginia (Wein) Habrial NORTHPORT A. Virginia (Wein) Habrial, age 86, of Northport, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sept. 24, 2012. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Open Door Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa with Rev. Keith Pugh officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. She was the wife of the late David A. Habrial. Born June 6, 1926, on Frieses' farm near Pottstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Stanley and Anna Virginia (Robison) Wein. A. Virginia was a graduate of Hamburg High School and Kutztown State Teacher's College of Pennsylvania. She also attended classes at Lehigh University. She was a member of the local, state, and national education associations (NEA, PSEA), and served as the first chairwoman of the Allentown Educational Association. A. Virginia was a fourth and fifth grade teacher in the Allentown School District at Lehigh Parkway Elementary School for 33 years before retiring in 1982. At the time of her death she was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She served on the advisory council for the Allentown Bible Club movement and taught Bible clubs in Allentown from 1949 to 1959, including a teacher training club. She also taught Jr. and Sr. High Sunday School at Allentown Bible Fellowship Church of North 8th Street, Bethel Bible Fellowship Church in Emmaus, Pa., and Bethel Baptist Church in Sellersville, Pa. She was preceded in death by her half-brother, Charles Kretzer, and her brother, Clayton E. Wein. Survivors include three stepdaughters, Ruth Schappel (Dave), Lois Champagne (Robert), and Esther Lewis; one stepson, Dan Habrial (Paula); 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Stanley Wein Jr. of Pottstown, Pa.
