John Kemp

John William Kemp, age 80, of Pickensville, Al, passed away August 3, 2020, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2020, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Jim Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Memory Hill Garden Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his parents France O’Neal and James Barton Kemp.

He is survived by his sons; John Greggory Kemp and William Keith Kemp (Connie M.), grandson; Branden Keith Kemp (Kristina Marie), great grand-children; Landon Cade Kemp, Kynleigh Marie Kemp, and Preston Bentley Kemp, sisters; Jimmie Sue Hill (Leonard) and Jinnie Lou Dollar (Robert), and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kemp was a member of The Tuscaloosa Police Department until he retired. He was also a member of the Alabama National Guard, with several years of activations of service until retirement. He was also a member of the West Alabama Bass Club for several years and has been a member of several hunting clubs over the years.

Pallbearers are Tyler Hill and Len Hill, and Ronnie Grammer.

Honorary pallbearers are his neighbors of Rivermont Circle in Pickensville, Al.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fallen Veterans of the Tuscaloosa Police Dept.
